So
what is a PDA anyway?
A
PDA, know as a personal digital assistant, is a handheld device that can
be use for a myriad of different things. It is an organizer, an address
book, a to-do-list and an memo pad. These are the standard uses and
features that come with almost evey PDA. These features do not even
scratch the surface of what one of the amazing devices can do.
They are also
capable of sending and receiving email. I use mine to daily to download
stock info, online vesions of magazines, and newspapers. I also am
able to download movie listings and times as wekk as just about anything
I want from the internet us software from AvantGo.com. Some PDA's
are expandable and can be used for an unlimited number of things.
The Palm series organizers have accessories such as a digital camera or
a modem.
My personal
favorite is the Handspring
Visor. I have previously owned a Palm Pilot Professional as well
as the Palm III. When I needed more memory I was going to upgrade
to the Palm IIxe. That is when I discovered the relative newcomer...Handspring
Visor. Once I found out that it was compatible with the Palm operating
system, allowing me to run the same programs, I was sold. So,
why a Visor over a Palm? It is simple...Springboard modules. Click
